Agilent Microarrays

Agilent Gene Expression microarray

The Agilent microarrays offer accessible whole-genome analysis. The 25mm x 75mm glass slides are versatile, and the 44K-feature microarray format allows for the utmost precision.  Agilent's SurePrint 60-mer in situ manufacturing process enables total customization of the microarray layout.
Each microarray results in a two-color assay with green and red channels. Targets are labeled separately and run on each type of microarray, and subsequent analysis of the combined green and red signals are performed.

Sample requirements

A minimum of 250ng of total RNA is required for beadarray tests, but for optimal results ~800ng is preferred, at a concentration of 28ng/ul or greater.
Prior to the test, we will assess the quality and quantity of samples by NanoDrop. Depending on the quality of the RNA, it may be necessary to run Bioanalyser-Lab on the chip (additional $75).
The procedure takes 3 days and your results are given in a text (*.txt) file.
Other formats for data are available on request.

Agilent CGH arrays

The Agilent Human Genome CGH Microarray is a high-resolution tool for analyzing genome-wide DNA variation profiling without the use of amplification or complexity reduction. Comprehensive probe coverage spans both coding and non-coding regions, with emphasis on well-known genes, promoters, miRNAs, and telomeric regions. Probe design and selection have been carefully optimized and validated for maximal sensitivity and specificity. This is a single color assay.

Sample requirements

(Recommended concentration?)
The quality & the quantity of samples will be determined by NanoDrop.
The procedure takes 3 days and your results are given in a text (*.txt) file.
Other formats for data are available on request.

Agilent miRNA Microarray

Agilent's probe design and unique labeling methods, this microarray delivers robust data with a simple, protocol. The generation of complete miRNA expression profiles using robust and highly sensitive microarrays allows broad insight into miRNA expression and regulation.  This is a single color assay.

Sample requirements

A minimum of 100ng of total RNA (at a concentration of 50ng/µl) is required, but for ____ng along with a sample for quality assessment are recommended for optimal results.
The procedure takes 3 days and your results are given in a text (*.txt) file.
Other formats for data are available on request.
Agilent offers a wide variety of printed microarrays, from human to drosophila. For a full list of available species, please contact our website.
